Karen has extensive knowledge of our mountain communities having lived in both Evergreen and Conifer for over 28 years.  She specializes in residential/ranch properties and second homes in the mountain & foothills area and prides herself on providing her clients the most technological products available in the industry to help them sell or buy their home. She has listed and sold the multi-million dollar price range, as well as those under a million. She has first hand experience buying and selling horse properties for her family (2 in Conifer and 2 in Evergreen), as well as for her many clients who want acreage properties. This is a special niche' in the market due to well requirements, zoning, trail riding areas, pasture management, and "knowing" the market is critical to professionally advising her clients on the right buying and selling decisions.  Karen truly "Knows the Mountains".

Karen has expertise in the construction and remodel industry as the sole owner of JK Design, a construction and design company licensed in Colorado since 1995. She has built in the high-end market and remodeled homes ranging from $350,000 to $1,000,000+. She utilizes her expertise in the building/construction field as a Broker Associate with Fuller Towne & Country Properties advising her clients on various projects. Karen also worked for Cushman & Wakefield as a commercial real estate agent. Xerox Corporation laid the professional foundation for her extensive marketing and sales experience as a Sales Executive handling Fortune 500 clients while achieving numerous President's Clubs Awards.

Karen has excelled in her residential real estate profession recieving numerous awards from her company, as well as in the community by being named the "Best of the Best", Evergreen's Best Realtor in 2004.  She has consistently been listed in the top "10" Producers with Fuller Towne & Country Properties, achieving Fuller's #1 Individual Broker in 2005 for  the Evergreen Office.  Fuller acknowledged her sales excellence in 2004 with the company's presitgious "Rising Star" award.    In February of 2006 she was given special recognition in the Mountain Connection Magazine serving the front range communities of Evergreen, Conifer, Golden, Morrison, Bailey, and Genesee as one of their finalists for the  "Most Community Involved Realtor".  Karen is very proud of her status as an "Accredited Buyer's Representative" of which only 4% of all Realtors in the entire country have obtained.

Karen is honored to be able to serve in the mountain communities  she calls home. She co-founded a 501-C-3 ©  organization whose mission is to develop character values in the youth of the community while partnering with schools, businesses, parents,  organizations and the community at large.  Karen served as Cougar Pride's founding President for 4 years. She currently serves on the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and their Executive Board as the Secretary. She Chairs the Ambassador Committee, the welcoming arm of the Chamber for all new businesses. She also serves on the Evergreen Art Council Board of Directors and Executive Board. She is a "Leadership Evergreen" graduate and Evergreen Rotarian having served on their Board of Directors while chairing and serving on numerous committees during her many years with Rotary.  She has been recognized by her club as the "Rotarian of the Month" and has recieved "Distinguished Service Citation Awards" for her volunteer service. Karen is a Paul Harris Fellow with  Rotary International and a Foundation Fellow with the Evergreen Club. Giving back to her community is of extreme importance to Karen.  She has chaired and served on numerous committees  including the Senior Resource Center, Mountain Resource Center and Evergreen HS PTA.  Karen also served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Evergreen Children's Chorale.  She was honored in both 2003 and 2004 with  "Evergreen's Person of the Year" nomination by the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce.
