South Padre Island, Texas is a great place for a second home!

South Padre Island is a town in Cameron County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the town had an official population of 2,422. The town is located on Padre Island, a large barrier island along the Texas Gulf coast.

South Padre Island is a true resort town, with about 3,000 year-round residents, and an influx of several thousand more when the winter chill sends northerners south in search of sunshine and warmth. Watersports are a major draw, from powerboating, sailing, and windsurfing to bay, surf, and deep-sea fishing.
